hey, s2k experts. just wondering if anybody has the stock '06 head unit and a working ipod cable and working sirius|xm radio.

i just bought my '06 yesterday, and there's an s-video-lookin' wire hanging down below the steering wheel. any idea what it is?

also, there's an iphone 4 plug (the wider, pre-lightning port one) coming out of the glovebox shelf thing, but it doesn't work.

the stock head unit, which says "xm radio" on it, actually says "ipod" on screen when you press through the different sources. problem is, the satellite channel is at 001 and i need to be at 000 to get the ESN #. i know the car has satellite because it has the sat receiver thing in the back of the car.

 

Subscribed as I'm trying to wire in my own adaptor for iPod/headphone jack access. I cannot find the appropriate plug for the harness. This may answer both of our questions. In short all I can provide is that it is fairly common to do this.
