I was never happy with the sound in my s2000. As soon as I turned it up, sounded like a torn plastic bag. Almost zero music enjoyment with the top down.
Finally stopped procrastinating and got a Skar audio component speaker set up for the door. Also got the preloaded Skar audio 6.5 mini sub for the trunk. All powered by a 4 channel mini amp. Top down and Invidia 300 droning in the background. This set up sounds great.

 

Do the dash controls work when you changed the head unit? I’m thinking of changing out my stock one, but want/need the controls to work.

 

With a Modifry DCI, you can retain dash controls.

 

The dash controls do work but the head unit was already installed when I purchased my car.
