Default So I got new door speakers.....

So yeah they sound a bit better, better bass. Stock ones I couldnt turn them up past 20mark on my HU. Now I can't go past 22.. woohoo, still can't hear it with top down.

Why did you put a 2 way speaker in place of a component set? Sound like you need to tune that sucker more... and get rid of those speakers and get a component set.

If you want them to sound a LOT better... you'll need to amp them.

But you really should get components.

Yup. You wont get the sound you want without an amp. No headunit can overcome the wind, exhaust, and engine noise the S2000 produces.

2 way amplifiers are not expensive. theyll get you the loudness you seek

This is what im running and i must say, its loud as hell. the speakers are 2 ohm so they make the most of an amp or head unit. i ran them off my head unit for about a year and they did very well but the amp doubled the bass. They use a light weight magnet and hit very low and hard for just 2 6.5s.

if you dont want to run an amp get these. if you want to run and amp and dont want to bother with a sub... get these.
