Default Some Gear Critique Needed Help I Can't Decide!

Amps that I am considering:
1)Pheonix Gold Octane R 5channel 900watts (125x4 + 400x1@2ohms) 359$
2)Orion 4004 (50x4@4ohm) 229$$
3)Sound Stream RUB500-1 (500x1@2ohms) 164$$
4)Sound Stream RUB500-2 (100x2@4) 164$$
5)Audiobahn A4075HCQ (watts??) 319$$
6)Audiobahn A6004T (75x4@4ohms) 189$$
7)Audiobahn A8002T (800x1 or 400x2) 189$$
8)Orion 8004 (100x4@4ohms) 409$$
9)Sound Stream EGA5700 5channel (700watts) 189$$
10)Sound Stream EGA4220 4channel (watts??) 169$$
11)RUB600-4 4channel (watts??) 219$$
12)Sound Stream EGA2440 (watts??) 169$$
13)Sound Stream Picasso(900x1@1ohm or 450x1@2ohms) 249$$
14)Hifonics Warrior Merlin Class D (450x1@1ohm mono stable) 159$$
15)Hifonics Warrior Eagle (50x4@4ohms) 114$$
Some of the wattages and specs I don't know but if you are as good as I hope you are then hopefully you know the bad boys that I am talking about. Just to clarify I am trying to build a powerful system and am not sure if I am going to run more than a good set of components up front and possibly another set of image ehancing tweets crossfiring across the cabin from the A-Pillars. I LOVE HIGHS. I am trying to decide whether I want a 4channel, a 5channel or a 4channel and a two channel. Either way I want to have the option to add a set of speakers in the near future if the desire arises. Can I have just as powerful a system with great highs and powerful lows with a five channel or can I get away with using a 4channel using 2channels for highs and 2channel bridged for the lows. I am still a little unclear about wiring, loads bridging etc.
I am looking not only for a powerful and clean amplification system, but am also looking for audio that is very reliable. It is essential that I don't exceed the amounts of watts needed to cause current draw problems. I will definitely be using a 1farad cap to help the amplifier with current draw.
The speakers that I have narrowed it down to:
1)Infinity Reference 6000cs
2)Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1
3)Polk db Series 6500
4)JBL P62 (I think)
What do you guys think about Fosgate, Soundstream,Hifonics components?? I will probably get the Perfects but is there really that much of a difference betweenn the references and the perfects? or Even between the Regular Kappas and the Perfects??
The subs that I am looking into:
1)Rockford Fosgate HX2
2)Rockford Fosgate HE2
3)Pheonix Gold Titanium Series
4)Audiobahn subs High Excursion AW1000Q
5)Audiobahn Ultra High Excursion AW1005Q
6)Sound Stream Subs
7)Infinty Kappa Perfect
I am not sure whether I want to go 1/10" 1/12" 2/10" or 3-4/8". I am leaning towards trying to put 4Fosgate 8"s in the tool area if it can fit as the required sealed volume is 0.1(That seems ridiculously small, but I got those specs on a couple different sources)
I will be building the box myself and I have all the time in the world and I think that I am pretty damn handy when it comes to making things. I want power, but I also want clarity. And I am not sure what type of voice coil I should get. I am not that knowledgeable in the wiring department.
A couple of things that I am not sure of is whether I should put a 3-way electronic x-over in my car or not. I have found one from Audiobahn (AX303) 104$$ Will rewiring the speaker wires in teh car with a thicker wire make an audible difference?
Does anyone know what the volume space is in the cavity in the trunk where the tools go. Please give me any insight you may have as I welcome all criticism of my ideas and need to learn more so I can make my system perfect by my standards.
Thanks guys..... If you love any other gear let me know so I can check it out. Cameron D

Miss Diaz
It is so nice to hear from you again. I believe that the last night we met, we got in abit of trouble didn't we?

Oh well, you can get champagne and chocolate out of a hot tub...

Listen before you buy. The Soundstreams are nice and are a bargin. The Phoenix Golds are awesome! i got the titanium series. The are disco'd so you get bargins on 'em. You can get away with a four channel in such a small car.

Since you love highs: I'd go perfects. The CS series are for non amped applications. Definitely go components. I wouldn't a pillar the tweets. The door mount is fine and image enhancing. Polks are no good, JL is way overpriced. Listen to the FOCALS and let me know what you think...

The sub is totally up to you. Are you going for sound quality? Or for pure bass noise? For SQ the infinity is real nice as are the Phoenix Golds. I would avoid Audiobahn. Industry insiders have let me in on a little secret: The guts are crap on these but the bling is tremendous. Elemental designs will also be recommended but there is a waiting period on these In a s2k, one ten is plenty. You can fit a 12 or two, but you will rattle your nipples off.

No need for a CAP IMHO. I'd rewire the doors. It's worth it.

NFR Dave will build you a system worthy of envy, even for a superstar like yourself. He will save you money, too.

BTW: You left your pants at my place, call me if you want them back.

whoops!
You weren't who I thought you were. sorry about the confusion...

Rather than juggle threads I consolidated:
"PG Octane vs Hifonics Zues/Brutus vs Soundstream vs Audiobahn"

Avoid Audiobahn,

Don't know much about HiFonics

Soundstreams are excellent:

Here's a great deal on a Phoenix Gold Ti Amp: $400! : Phoenix Gold Titanium 500.1 It's the disco'd titanium series, it is a BAD ASS amp, and you won't be able to get them for long.

Remember good amp companies underrate amp power, bad amp companies overrate amp power.

I checked out the PH Ti amp on Sound. It looks bad ass. Can I use two channels to run the fronts and brdge the one 10" sub into mono@2ohms? I think that you can but the 250watts on my sub. That just doesn't seem like a lot of wattage pushing a sub. Due to the cars small size, will that still make the S pound??
Thanks for the help.

It would be enough to drive an efficient ten or eight. It would pound, but it wouldn't bounce you outta the car. If you want much much bass, go with a 12 and a dedicated amp. But for SQ applications I would think this would be enough.

However, an installer would definitely know better than me.

with the PG amps, especially the Ti, it would most likely be over 300 watts bridged.

Trick,
Where didja land? i.e. what did you choose? 'cause I know you've been researching like crazy...

as far as plexi is concerned: No need to bling out your girlfriends car IMO. not for that price.
