Default Is Sony head unit bad quality?

I have been looking for head unit for my s2000 because my radio broke few days ago. The purpose of purchasing new head unit was to listen to music through usb, bluetooth and have a nice look. So I did some research and most people used alpine or pioneer. I was going to buy alpine head unit but the problem was that the usb had to be connected through the back and I did not want that.
So i narrowed down to pioneer and sony.
And i found this head unit http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores...nalImage1"

and it seemed perfect to me, but is sony head unit bad?
I can not find a sony head unit installed on s2000... i dont know why
please leave a comment what you guys think and any suggestion for better head unit.
Thanks~

They're not bad head units... but they're not the best. Most people choose the quality of an Alpine or Pioneer over a Sony. if it does the job then I think you should get it. There's a few units that will do the same for cheaper btw.

The one I listed was actually 150 dollars on ebay
so I was thinking of purchasing it.
I did not want to buy the alpine one and pioneer one was pretty much the same price with the almost same feature, but sony one looked much better just in the looks.

sonys are good, they are not great. They do sound a bit harsh in my opinion.

I was looking for a decent HU that came with Bluetooth, worked well with iPods/iPhones, had adjustible illumination and both front and back USB ports. The best one I could find under $200 is this:

There is a coupon code for $20 off and free shipping - 3A825. If you enter your car into their tool they will also include a free wiring harness and mount kit. PM me if you get it, I think I have a $20 off referral code.

I like Alpine bu their USB and iPhone implementation blows.

I wouldn't recommend Sony. I have had several Pioneers and I loved them. They were always very simple to use and held up well. My S came with an Alpine that I have no idea how to use (haven't tried either). If it is for the S the biggest concern for me would be being able to use the radio controls on the dash.

i'd take a sony over a JVC though, just sayin.

This is all subjective to if its entry, mid or high end.

when it comes to the 100 radios, sony is ehh, but The Sony in your link looks great and will likely sound very good.
