Default Sound deadener

Hi all,
I have been setting up for my own audio install and have most of what i need, but still have a few things i need taken care of.

The current issue is sound deadener material type. currently i am looking at dynamat extreme, and RAAMmat BXT II, but there is the liquid type sound deadener that offers of same sound deadening as a mat and claims to be lighter. My S is a daily so the lighter weight has some appeal it, but i know dynamat works and is "somewhat" easy to install.

what i am looking for it there any pro/cons to them? other than the liquid taking longer to apply.
any have some first hand with either of them?

Thanks for any help I can get.

I am going to be using a dampener for the first time shortly, so I can't comment on the two your are asking about.

But, I went with Second Skin Damplifier Lite. Its 0.35 lbs per sqft, so its not really heavy at all. Its pretty cheap as well!! 65 bucks for 30sqft or 120 for 60sqft.

Check it out!

I used a lot of dynamat xtreme on my S, it does help elimilating some noise. i would say, for the peace of mind, dynamat. Easy installation.

Damplifier Pro --

I double-covered my doors and did my trunk lid + where the spare tire used to be (now an amp rack).

Can't remember exactly how much I bought, but I think it was 6-8 sheets or something.

Sorry...it was a LONG day of installing that stuff...but it works fantastic and the doors now close with a nice-sounding THUD.

Awesome thanks. I ordered 60sqft of the Lite. I planned on a single layer for the doors, but I may double up on it and not do the full trunk area. Doing the hardtop possibly too
