Sound system plans **EDIT: PICS**
This is what I will be installing in my 00 S2k in about a week.....just waiting on some stuff I ordered:
Eclipse cd5000 headunit
JL ZR650 component speakers for the front
2 8W7's in the rear (most likely in the tool well)
JL 500/1 to power the sub
Still debting on an amp for the fronts. Im looking at an Audison Vrx2.250, but still weighing some other options.
What do you guys think?
Where have you guys mounted the tweaters on the car since their is no factory location for them?

I have re-installed a number of systems, because the people were not happy with 2 8"s versus 1 10".
I recommend one good 10" rather than a pair of 8"s.
Other than that, sounds good.

No tweeters in the MY 00-01. MY 02+ have them. The newer s2k's have an updated tweeter grill.
I dropped off my car tonight for them to start working on it hopefully itll be done next week. i decided on the Audison Vrx 2.250 to power the front components. Im going to install the 8w7s in the tool well and hopefully put the 500/1 on the side and the audison on the rear trunk wall.
ill have pics next week when i get the car back

I got the car back today and it sounds very good. The 2 8w7s provide more than enough bass for such a small car. Here are some pics

Specs:
Eclipse CD5000 headunit
JL ZR650 components
Audison VRX 2.250 EX for front components
(2) JL 8W7
JL 500/1 for subs
They used 8 Gauge wire as speaker wire for the subs and Audioquest speakerwire for the components. They ran 2 4guage wires for the power leads for the amp, and grounded the headunit with 8guage to the common ground for the amps. It sounds great and looks good as well. All work was done by Wurlitzer Stereo in Marlborough MA
