This may just add fuel to the fire but here's what's been successful in my Stook, I went with quality, not affordability.

Diamond Audio Hex components, installed in Pillars.
2 Rockford Fosgate 10" (in 'box' made out of well)
2 Kicker 8" in wooden box where spare tire once was
Rockford Fosgate crossover on 8"
MTX 800 watt 5 channel amp
Kenwood Excelon (specifically for RCA inputs, via adapter)
Neo MP3 player (60GB HD - uses RCA inputs)
Neo LCD Remote

(Need to add capacitor)

OK, I guess I should qualify my statements. Yes, the Q series are stunning speakers. I guess what I was thinking about were speakers for the S2000. I heard the Q series in my s2000 for demonstration purposes (I really wanted components that would prevent my knee from killing the sound of the speakers when it rested against them) In any event, I have heard the other high end speakers referred to here, and each is definitively an excellent product. I just prefer the Quarts. I like their sound. Its a personal preference, and what I would reccommend. But all of the advice here (with the exception of the Sony's (yes they drop right in, but if you are looking for really great sound, they are not in the same league with what others are using, if all you are looking for is better sound, then thats cool though)).

Anyway, Cheers to good music (whatever your preferences are)!
