Default Speakers cutting in-n-out

I recently swapped out my Infinity Kappa's with MB Quart component speakers and am now getting intermittent sound. The crossover terminals are tight, so are the speaker terminals. I've taken the door apart 2 times already trying to fix the problem but can't figure it out. Any suggestions and tips would be great

is it intermittent out of both speakers at the same time , or just one speaker?

Umm....perhaps the +ve & -ve terminals on your speakers are touching the door frame causing the speakers to cut in and out. Should that be the case, try to insulate the terminals completely with duct tape.

had the same issue recently with the pass speaker. it seemed to have slipped from the door panel into the door (through the plastic) so assume metal was contacting metal on the cross over

Though I also took the fuze out and cleaned the ends as they had a nice white coating on them....fixed the plastic on the door so it wouldnt slide into the door anymore and havent had any issues since

It's intermittent and happens on both speakers. Passenger side more than driver for some reason.

The crossovers are in the doors panels, all the terminals are covered so it can't ground out to any metal parts in its surroundings. I'll have to take it apart and look again (for the 3rd time).

It may be the wires grounding out not the terminals.
