Default Which speakers for rear?

Im going to install component 6.5s in the rear panels and am wondering what to run between the Polk audio DB6501 or the Focal Access 165 A1? I am going to be running the HAT Imagine 6I-2s in the front with a infinity 4 channel amp that pushes about 100rms.

When you say the "rear panels" if you mean the vented panels behind the seats,
be aware that without cutting metal, the space behind will only accommodate a
small-diameter speaker magnet. It's pretty quick to pop off those panels to
see and measure, though unfortunately most speaker specs don't list the magnet
diameter so you'll need to measure those too.

Yes thats the place I want to mount them in, and I am aware of the space I have to work with also. I have looked at a few threads on people mounting them back there. I will be measuring it and checking the space and also bought spacers to space them out further to give me some more room. Anyone know magnet size for the POLK DB6501s? Im thinking I am going to just get those to mount there.

why all the interest in rear speakers, i dont listen with my back and my ears are pointed forward.......

with a proper sound stage you will never need rear speakers....

SOUND DEADEN you doors, this does wonders, put a layer on outer door skin and replace the plastic wind noise sheet with sound deadner, next use good speakers, and power them with about 150-200 real watts, do not expect a 6" speaker to reproduce all frequences, they can not reproduce lows real well, you will need a sub,

I have done this setup dozen of times and never had a customer have a problem with the setup - 75-80 mph top down with loud exhaust and can jam stereo over everthing and sound great....

No big reason just wanted to fill it out more and have heard great feedback from poeple about putting them back there. I will go ahead and install my amp and HAT speakers this week and lay Brown Bread I have laying at home and see how that works out. Thanks for the info.

I have rears and my car and the sound it 100x better. Trust me you're doing the right thing adding them. I have Alpine SPX 5 1/4's in the rear panels. They sound awesome. Those that say you don't need them are the same ones that have never heard them or never heard them set up right.

Do it you won't regret it!

I agree, I have 5 1/2 inch in the rear as well, and they improve the sound in the cabin 100%.

Let me give you a really evil idea.

I would get 2 HAT Imagine I6SW 6.5" Subwoofer and pop it in there.

but if between the 2 choice you have given I would get the Polk Audio DB6501. It has a smaller magnet, and sounds more smooth than Focals.
