SRS Airbag Light On With CR Seats
Hello all I just installed a set of cr seats, they came complete with everything intact, so I basically swapped out my 06 seats with the cr seats and connected them all to the same spot however the Airbag light stays on for some reason? I even disconnected the battery and waited like ten minutes or so before performing the swap. Do you guys know if the SRS resetter is required whenever peforming seat swaps?
it could be a couple of things, if you disconnected or reconnected your seat air bag wires with the ignition switch on, it could store a fault in the system that the dealer would need to clear. it also could be that the cr seats have opds sensors in the seat bottom and back that your old seats did not have, now that you have plugged them in, it does not recognize the sensors and sees something wrong causing the srs light to come on. i am not sure if the seats can be swapped or not? good luck
I didnt turn on the ignition until after everything was done. I guess ill buy the resetter and try to reset, if all else fails, put original back in and reset and start from beginning to see what triggers it. Im hearing mostly the passanger seat weight sensor, so I will try to put in driver side first and complete the swap then turn the ignition to see if it triggers the srs light. If it doesn't ill start the passanger side seat and if it triggers it then hopefully I can swap the weight sensor units between the seats to bypass the light from triggering?
So I tried again today and plugged stock one and no srs light, swapped weight sensors incurred srs lights. Tried to swap rails, but did not want to ruin the like new cr seats I had in process so I left it as is. Does anyone know if the recalibration will fix the issue? I hate paying the dealer arghhhh...
