Stereo Restarts when engine is turned off

Stereo Restarts when engine is turned off
I just got my kenwood kiv-701 stereo and was wondering when the car is on/engine on and the stereo is playing is it suppose to turn off/turn back on whenever i switch the key to acc "II"? or when the stereo is on "I" then i switch it to acc "II" it does the same thing vise versa. Is it suppose to do that? i cant remember
