i have used the search engine to find info on this but nothing popped up.

i just want to know what is that switch above the hood latch on the driver side is? i know it has to do with alarms. but how dose it work? what is it used for? can anyone help me? thanks everyone. oh i have a 2005 s2k

Is it a 3 position switch ? If so it could be :

Position #1 - Auto Lock, #2 Auto, #3 Manual

that's the way the early AP1 alarms worked

 

or if a 1 position switch possibly the valet disarm switch

 

ummm the switch goes up and down bahah, i'll take some pics of it tomorrow

Is the button black? and just momentary on/off push button?

i have one in the same spot, and have no idea what it goes to.
