Stock Radio Doesnt WORK!
Heres the deal. I removed my stock HU because my alpine one was going to come in the mail ...turns out it was delayed for another 2 days...so I just installed my stock HU back on..it ask me for a code but since I was going to install my alpine one in 2 days I figured I can live without music for 2 days...not to mention I cant find the code..anyways.. Once my new HU came in I installed it..easy...but it didnt work...and I know its installed right..i mean its a plug and play and ground...so then I re-installed my stock HU to see if its my car thats having the problem..well turns out now that not even my Stock HU works...the flashing code doesnt even come on... so my guess is that its some sort of security problem...since I never put the code and I removed it, it thinks its being stolen... but I dont know.... any help... I mean worst comes to worst I send it to the dealer but I dont want to be charge an arm and a leg and its an easy fix... thanx
crap..I knew I forgot to tell you guys more info... I check, double check and triple check for a blown fuse..and nothing..it wasnt it.. and another tricky thing... I thought there was no power going to the unit but when I drove my car last night I open my radio door and my radio was lite up..so there is power, its just not working...idk...
It was lit, but were there numbers showing or anything on the display? Were your headlights on? It could be that the illumination wire (when the headlights are on) lit the radio up, but it still had no power per say.
What fuse box did you check? Under the hood or under the dash? Try replacing the radio fuse anyway. May have such a small short in it that you can't see it.

Test the accessory port and make sure that's live. The stock radio uses 2 fuses. You can check one by just pluging something into the accessory port. If that's dead then just replace that fuse and you should be good.
