Streaming Blutooth from Android to Sony head unit
If you have a Sony head unit and stream music over bluetooth with your Android phone please post the model of your head unit.
I have a Sony MEX-BT2700 but the auto pairing is a joke. I am looking to upgrade to a new sony unit that is more reliable for this.
Thanks in advance!

I have an Alpine Ida-x305 and it works well. The Bluetooth module is separate and also works well. My only complaint is that the Bluetooth media volume is low and I sometimes have to turn it up to the max for some audio and video streaming I do. The quality is great though.

I think mine is the MEX-BT2500, Droid phone. I'm happy with the combo, but want to upgrade to a Sony with an external mic as no one can hear me! I use a Modifry DCI hard-wired so it needs to be Sony.
Press the 6 button to make it pair. With that, it's pretty good 95%+ of the time. Auto-pairing sucks, but pressing 6 will do it!
On occasion, the Android BT stack just stops working and you either have to turn on/off BT or reboot the phone. It happens a lot less now that I'm on 2.3, though.
If there's a lot of interference from wifi in your hood, using the BT button to turn off then back on BT will make the radio get the link back...or stop/start the car.

That is the main reason why I want to replace it to a different one
I bought the Modifry too so I am stuck with Sony as well
When you say you press the 6 do you mean on the head unit or on the phone?
