A simple search would have gotten you lots of threads about the box.
Alot of people have them and they are fine.
Sorry but building a sub box is not as easy as it sound.
Making a simple sub box is doable but when you're talking about about making one that fit the tool well is alot of work and I'd rather not tackle that project.

 

For the price it's not bad and the quality is ok. Budget and time friendly. I actually have the same box, but the only issue I have is the trunk space if I ever get a flat I'll have no way of putting my aftermarket wheels in the trunk. Passenger seat is the only option for me.

 

just installed one last night, for the price you can not go wrong. just make sure the sub you are going to use is a 9" cut out, i had to open the hole to 9 1/2

 

this box is great for the price, and also if your looking for a clean look, you cant go wrong, personally contacted and dealt with the seller before. great seller and answered all my questions when contacted.
