Personally, I think that's overpriced and it takes up too much room in the trunk, but I'm one of those people who prefer the W Laurent enclosures. You could get a good sub and a WLaurent enclosure for a lot less than $500, but it depends on what you're going for. Big bass? Nice bottom fill? How much power do you have for a sub?

Thanks for all the replies guys.

I was not going to pay what he paid ....but it seems as though it will sell for very little so I was just wondering it it would be a good purchase for say $200 max. I have an old school Autotek amp that I can use to drive it so no worries there.

Thanks again for all the input.

I would ask for pictures of it outside the car. See how and what its constructed out of. If its 3/4 inch MDF properly made and if you can score it with the sub for $200 bucks, I'd say its a good deal. But it will really depend on the quality of the box. PM me if that doesn't work out and I'll build you a nice box and get you setup with a nice sub.

Forget that POS box. It take up the whole toolwell and is probably 1.0c/foot.

Have John build you a box and be done with it. Not only that, you can pick a sub, and have the box built EXACTLY to the subs specs, not just a generic box.
