Default Substitute for crossover set screws?

Please help. I posted this question over at sounddomain but haven't gotten any replies yet.

I lost a few of the screws that clamp speaker wire down to the terminals on my crossovers.

I spent all day yesterday searching local stores (hardware stores, optometrists, car stereo stores...) I still don't have anything that fits.

Does anyone know another way to secure the speaker wire? Maybe some day I will find screws that fit. Until then, I'm just looking for something that will get me through the weekend.

Thanks!

Have you tried contacting the vendor to see if they can send you some? I know this doesn't take care of the problem right now, but maybe a solution for the future.

Thanks, PAS2KNUT.

Yes, tomorrow I will start the process of getting genuine replacements. Until then I was looking for something "quick and dirty".

I did. I even got the correct diameter, which happens to be 6/32".

The problem even then is thread count. The originals have more threads. None of Home Depot's screws matched the thread density. As a result, I couldn't screw the substitutes all the way in and I don't want to damage the threading on the crossover terminal.

Why not buy a small bolt (smaller than the opening) and use a washer. No threads would be messed up and you could do it that way until you get the right screws.

Thanks, everyone, for the great suggestions. The "tap and die" solution sounds interesting. I'll investigate further.

Thanks again.

Thanks, darkknight1999. I asked the seller if those speaker terminal screws will work for my crossovers. Waiting to hear back...
