subwoofer has power, but does not put out sound
I did not make this setup in the car, the original owner of the car did but here it is:
2 Phoenix Gold amps
2 pioneer tweeters, 2 6" door speakers, 2 6" speakers behind the seats
The subwoofer is a 10" infinity
The guy did a real clean job of all of the wiring and even left the wires for the subwoofer out so when I get one. I put the black and red wires to the subwoofer box and I hear the sub getting power, but it does not put out any sound. I have two other cables that look like they plug into the amp. Each amp has an input and output area for two cables. Each amp has the inputs currently plugged in.
Btw, one amp is for the behind the seat speakers, and the other is for the tweeters/door speakers. Hope this is enough information. Like I said, it's getting power but is not making any sound.
I don't know very much about audio and wiring. And the only reason I went out on my own is because the previous owner said all you need is a subwoofer and to run wires to these two and connect them. Had I known it would be more involved than that, I would have taken it somewhere, but now I may as well do this myself.

I'm guessing both amps are 2-channel amps since you said there are 2 output connectors.
2 channels for the front, 2 channels for the rear... then what's powering the sub?
Did you trace the black/red wire to the amp? where is it connected to?

You'll need to provide us the model number of the AMPS and tell us what Head Unit you are running to start.
It sounds like the are both 2 ch amps based on your input description, however, if that is the case, and each amp is already running a pair of speakers....you'll need to change some more wiring around.

Yup...I'd check that the rear channel is turned on. Also verify that one amp is connected to the SUB, not the rear speakers.
With this configuration. I'd have one amp run the fronts, one amp run the sub and use the Head unit to run the rears.....
I cannot find the specs on the 7500mp to save my life.
