Default Suction Cups not Sucking

Hey, I am having a hard time with the suction cups that came with the X50. They held for a month but now they don't stick at all. I order replacements and it is losing its stick as well.

Never had this issue. Is there a trick I am missing?

Use a small drop of silicone in each cup.

Or, lick them before you stick em on. I did it to my V1, and its on there like a fat kid on a cupcake.

w/ the huge humidity changes etc. around here, i find mine don't stick so well at times either.

i'll generally take mine and wash them w/ alcohol to clean all the junk off, and then soak them in very hot (not quite boiling) water for a good period of time (say 10 minutes).

i find it brings them back to almost new condition.

let us know if it works for you.

Yup, a clean surface and using some sort of lubricant, be it spit, will help

actually -- the spit isn't a lubricant as much as it's a sealing fluid. the spit seals up the tiny little voids you can't see that allow air to slowly seep into the area between the surface and the cup. the rubber used to do this, but it gets dirty and oily, and cannot deform as well to the voids.

well, at least that's my theory.

seriously tho? a hot hot bath with mild soap, an alcohol wash, and a clean windshield work wonders.
