Default Suggestions on how to mount all this stuff?

I've looked through the thread with various audio installations and so far I haven't seen anything which works, but maybe there isn't a good way to do this.

I want to run 2 amps (JL 300/2 and 500/1) and a JL 10W6v2 Sub in my trunk without losing anything like the spare.

When I bought the car used it came with the JL 300/2 which is mounted on top of the trunk well cover like this:

A friend of mine knows how to cut fiberglass and he's offered to build me an enclosure if I can show him pictures / get him dimensions on how to build one. I was hoping to put the JL 10W6v2 on one side of the trunk, and then find a place to put the JL 500/1 so I don't have to relocate the 300/2 and I don't lose the spare tire using an amp rack.

If anyone has any suggestions, especially if you've got pics / dimensions of your enclosure I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!

That looks awesome ... so you still have the spare behind the amps, I'm assuming?

Any info on how you built or where you bought the pieces to hold the amp and the sub enclosure?

No spare but have a AAA card and cell phone. All work was done at HiFi Buys in Duluth, GA. If you do a search I posted all of the pics and info.

HiFi Buys eh? You must have friends there and/or did most of the work yourself. Nice job, looks good!

Any other suggestions? I'd really like to be able to keep the spare, although I know a lot of you guys carry around a can of fix-a-flat, and have AAA or whatever ... Personally I wouldn't mind keeping the spare just incase.

You could run the other amp from the back or under the passanger seat perhaps?

Hmm, yeah thats not a bad idea ... Move the 300/2 to the passenger seat and run the 500/1 in the trunk. Didn't realize there was enough space to mount an amp on the other side of where the spare goes.

I guess no matter what it isn't going to be a simple job to re-run all the wires and move stuff around ...

Thanks for everyone's help! If anyone else has any ideas, please share!

I have one question about your install. Where are you going to put the flat tire after you put on the spare?

The trunk well where you put the sub is designed in such a way that the blow tire sits upright in that position so that it fits in the trunk. Unless you pull out the sub, but then what if you have a passenger?

It's a very clean install, and I like it alot (didn't want you to think I was dissing it), just wanted to point out that if you did blow a tire having the spare and tools may not be enough.

Even with the sub in the tire well, the tire can still fit in the trunk with a few bungie cords to keep the lid down (though not completely closed).
