Default System setup Help

Hi guys, I just installed my Alpine DVA-9861 HU and although the sound is better than stock, I need a little more oomph out of it.

I am looking to replace the speakers and install my sub. I currently have

12" Alpine SWR 1242 D Type R Sub

and

-Kenwood KAC 9102D Amp
I would like to install these using Darkknights sub box but I do not know if it fits a 12" sub.

What I am looking for in this system is good bass but NOT something that will rattle my teeth out. I mainly listen to HIP-HOP music but I mix in techno and rock as well. So I need an all around system.

What speakers should I go with for this particular setup. What have you guys found that works well. BTW my car is a 2007 so it has the rear speakers as well. Thanks for all input in advance. I appreciate it.

I can build you a box for that sub. It won't be the GB box but one that will fit that sub properly. But honestly that sub is going to hit pretty hard so you'll want to turn the gains down a bit so you keep all your teeth firmly planted in your head

As for speakers you need to tell us how you listen to your music? Mid range (high, middle, low) Treble (high, middle, low). What speakers have you gone to listen to?

Thanks for the input. The way I listen to my music is:

Treble: Mid-High
Bass: Mid

Can you PM a price for the box please. Also if I trade this sub and get a 10" would my amp be the correct one for it or would I need another one. Thanks.

BTW I have never heard any aftermarket speaker in action except some POS pioneers that I have in my beater.

Whats your budget for the speakers?

The Alphasonik ones are very nice for a good price, as are the Kappa 6.1s . If you want to spend a bit more, you can go with focal or Boston. I would recommend you amp them though, because a headunit wont be able to overcome the sub.

I am considering getting these speakers

ALPINE SPEAKERS

What kind of AMP do I need to drive these well?

Would one of these AMP's do the job or do I need a different type?

Amplifiers

Sorry for all the questions guys.

Just ask Darkknight for equipment. The crap they sell at bestbuy should not be in your vehicle.
