Whether it be an aftermarket one or the Honda one, is there anywhere else it can be installed besides the trunk. Preferrably somewhere more accessible from the drivers seat. Thanks.

not sure...i've got the factory one.....mounted in trunk....you might want to try under passenger seat....or get an alpine head unit that has the cd stacker built into it.... i know having the changer in the trunk is a pain, but what i do is keep my best cd's in the changer and control it with the head unit...then i keep extra magazines inside the car and use them as for the changer or the cd slot in the head unit.....it's my cd carrying case....

I put the Alpine changer in the secret compartment. Required some cutting, however.

Mine is in the trunk as well, but the best option can be seen at https://www.s2ki.com in the sound section.

I placed my Alpine 6 Disc changer underneath my drivers seat with no problems of adjusting my seat.

if you really want to be badass, go with a Nakamichi head unit that is a 6 disc changer in a din size! They do exist, and Nakamichi is the only company brillant enough to design one. Actually they have three models available. This way you can save trunk space, under seat space, and get better quality sound vs the stock head unit. Reputation? Nakamichi is known for making some the best sound equiptment of its time.

here is a link...enjoy...

Did you have to change the latching mechanism for the door?

The door and trim it attaches to is completely intact... My only modification to the door was putting the controller to an ERA-G320 in the face (that's what the visible cable is)...

bullit,
Does your changer skip a lot? Mine skips like a MF. I just posted on car talk, and I realize I should have posted here. Someone said check the shipping screws, I haven't yet. Any ideas? I'm ready to give the changer back to the dealer, but I don't know if all changer will skip with the stiff suspension in the trunk, or if it is the changer.
