For those that are electronically inclined
So here is the issue. I installed an aftermarket deck in my 92 Lexus. I also bought the Harmon Kardon drive and play ipod system. The drive and play system came with a direct wire wiring system. I spliced that into the aftermarket decks harness...
Everything powers on but my gf has been driving it and now says she hears a "sizzling" noise every time she uses the turn signals. And my Climate control back lighting will only power on when the dimmer is set to max(anything lower than max and the lighting goes out).
Could the wiring to the deck have caused these issues?
I'm going to unwire the harmon kardon system and just use the cig lighter for now, but does anyone know if this is indeed the cause.

is the "sizzling noise" present all the time, or only when the
stereo is on, i.e. could it be noise coming from the speakers?
are the stereo, turn signals, and climate control lighting all
on the same circuit (fuse)?

what did you tie into for a hot lead?
i've seen this problem before on the first car i ever put a stereo into... it was a mess...
you've got something wired wrong. i'd guess either you've got a bad or incorrect ground or you're pulling from a positive lead you shouldn't have.
also, the dimmer module could be blown, and you'll have to replace that.
best guess - good luck.
