I have been trying to find out the thread that showed how to install the push-botton on the bottom of the windscreen to prevent braking taller windscreen.
I did search function and it doesnt seem to work.. I remember someone posted thread about it while ago.
Can anyone help me out how should I connect wire and stuff.,..or help me find out tha thread?

I don't think I have ever seen a thread on this. I known that MacGyver added tihs into his LED mod for his Windscreen.

The easiest way I can think of to do this is with a reed switch in the center console and a magnet in the windscreen. When the screen is up, the switch would be closed, when down it would be open.

I have a hard time understanding this. What is a push-botton? And why would anyone want to brake their windscreen? Is it moving too fast? Can someone translate please.

The problem is, when you have the taller windscreen, if it is in the down position and you lower the top, there is not enough clearance and either the screen will break or the top will rip (something has to give).

The button is connected to the parking brake switch so that if the screen is down the circuit is incomplete and the car thinks that the parking break is not engaged. This prevents the top from lowering. When you raise the screen it closes the circut and the top will lower normally.

The only drawback is that when the screen is down, the parking brake indicatior light on the dash will not function since the car thinks the brake is not engaged.
