Dan:

Check out 1:15 to 1:25ish into this video for what I mean about the LEDs dimming...

Still plans for the speedo dashlights mod?

Great choice - 370Z is an AWESOME vehicle! =)

I'm starting the upgrade process for my design software so I can use my more powerful machine (running Vista) rather than trying to hook up my old system (running Win2000). If successful, development should be a little quicker.

Lando, that video makes it a bit difficult to determine exactly what's happening. It appears as if the white LED strip just turns off whenever the turn signal is engaged... sound about right to you?

Actually, the LEDs dim (to half power?) until the turn signal is canceled. It is a neat feature that looks sharp when you see it in person. Hard to tell on the video, of course. If I come across a better vid I will let you know. It's just an idea - not an electronics guy so not even sure if it is feasible or workable with off the shelf led strips.

Really looking forward to the turn signal/backup lamps and hoping you are still doing the dash lights mod like Qube's. I remember you said something about maybe having a light sensor to made the dash brightness intelligent during headlight-on daytime driving. That would rock, as would user-selectable colors!

Keeping this post subscribed for updates. Thanks again for the cool tech mods!

Lando

Design software has been updated, though the functionality has changed so much (for the better, thankfully) it's going to take some getting used to. If I think of it, I'll try to take a picture of the populated proto board for the flasher relay.

The Electronic Flasher Relay code is finished... it's not tested, but it's finished. I started this morning around noon and spent the last 10 hours (interrupted numerous times) putting it together. Arguably the fastest (and smallest) piece of code I've ever written.
