trading decks
just sold my Alpine CDA-9815
and getting the soon to be released 9855... have any of you guys heared about this??
im mainly doiung this for ipod intagration........and new features
my question is since my knowledge on decks is little to none... what would i expect in terms of sound quality....since this deck pumps out 50wx4 and my older one does 60wx4.. (im running 2 speakers in the panels behind me (lucid)
and anyone know what SwingFace GlideTouch Mechanism is??

it's my understanding that there are no more buttons on the bottom but rather a glide touch like a mouse pad

don't know about the 9855 but i just upgraded to a 9835 from a 7982 and the sound is a bit cleaner

That has to do with tags. Alpines with the biowhatever display (such as the one you got) can have many characters on the screen at once. Thus, songs containing less than 3 lines in their title will fit. Regular alpines with LCD displays, (the ones that look digital) are limited to I think 6 or 7 characters at once, and will "roll" the song name.
