Default Turbo sets of laser detector

Just installed my turbo kit. Funny thing is, every time I hit full boost, my 8500 throws a laser warning. Does anyone think it's the heat of the engine, or is my detector on crack. Weirdest problem ever.

I find that VERY hard to believe. Where is the detector mounted?

Me too, but the voltage reading never dips. I know it's a stretch, but it's mounted at the top of the windshield. Maybes the IR sensor wigs out? The detector doesn't blink or anything, just a laser spike. I removed the weather strip on the back of the hood, Maybe the heat is rolling up the glass? Oh well, I'm going to keep trouble shooting it.

My x50 went off when adjusting mirrors

Excort added shielding to correct it... that solved it

Something similar happened to a friend of mine when he put a turbo kit onto his RSX. It had to do with incorrect spark plugs causing some type of interference. Did you happen to change your spark plugs with your kit?

Are you hardwired? I am. I was going to try the adapter to see if it quit. It may be from getting my power from so close to the harness. I'm starting to think the EMU has dirty coil or injector ouputs that are injecting a signal into the detectors power. I might try putting an lc filter on the line to try to scrub the high frequency noise out.

Coincidental issues. You must have done something to affect the radar while installing. PM Revhi. He had some issues with his radar getting tripped for no apparent reason. Do you have tints?
