Tweeter mounting preference- Poll
This has perplexed me for quite a while. I wanted to know owner opinions on their component installation, and if they could do it over, where they would place their tweeters.
Here is the problem im faced with. When I have a passenger in the car, their leg usually rests up against the door panel, which of course is in direct line with the speaker position. This blocks out a surprising amount of sound. Since my left leg is usually near the clutch, I do not have this problem fromt he driver side.
Anyways, I was wondering if have a tweeter mounted in the MY02 position or on A-pillar would be a bad idea. If the passenger has his leg blocking the speaker, I am mostly going to be hearing tweeter from that side of the cabin. However, if the tweeter is mounted near the speaker, and equivalent amount of blocking will occur between the speaker and tweeter, which would balance the sound out a bit.
Just wondering your opinions, or if you have a similar situation.

In an S2000 my experience has been mounting them up higher is better. Either in the stock location MY'02' and up or in the pillers.
