Default unknown plugs behind the radio

located driver's side by the right knee, behind the radio.

vafcII plugged into the other two adapters (the wire im holding is the wire from vafc):

i just unplugged the vafc and my car doesn't start. so...im assuming these factory plugs need to be plugged in somewhere, but i can't figure out where...

does the vafcII normally come with more than this?

Big plug in the first pic is for the OBD2 code reader, this is OEM.

Unless you have a harness adapter the VAFC is spliced into the OEM harness, I believe( its been 4 years since i had mine) but one or two wires are cut and wired thru the VAFC, hence the reason the car won't start with out it.

awesome. the big plug can be left alone.

so based on your information, the two plugs (the one im holding in the second pic) doesn't actually plug into anywhere. It's part of the vafc, right? I followed the wires and I believe it's cut/spliced (exactly how you mentioned) into the AEM EMS. Can I just cut the wires off or does this require cutting and soldering?

thanks for your input

correct, the two plugs/wires should run to the ecu and come supplied with the VAFC. You will need to cut and re solder a couple wires, depending on who installed it the rest of the wires should be piggybacked to the oem wires. I believe there's a good write up on how to install this somewhere on the site.

No problem. Out of curiosity, Why were you running the AEM and VAFC?

the VAFC install IS on the DIY faq section, but the pictures are down.

The vafcII was installed prior to the AEM EMS. the car is running off of the ems so im taking the vafc off because it's just sitting there not doing anything. thanks for the info!
