Default Unkown Cluster Indicator

I'm reading through the manual but it does not indicate what this is for? (see circled in red to the left to the high beam indicator)

My only suspicion is it would be for a Canadian model perhaps for DRLs.

IIRC it's the peak power indicator used on the CR's.

I just looked up the CR dash and it looks different (not a full crescent for the temp and gas). I wonder what the purpose would be to include it in the "base" version then and not have it work if it's a different dash completely.

I have never seen it do anything of the sort (granted I've owned the car for less than a week). I'm glad you too were curious. Was it a dealership that told you that is what it's for?

I found this image of a CR cluster and it seems it is a separate light that indicates that. See image below:

Well, could be alarm light for factory Alarm vehicles (ones with shock sensors, not talking keyless). But, I remember someone saying that this was used as the peak power light in CR's. But, the size of it makes it look like an IR for auto-dimming etc.

Time to hack the cluster and make it a shift light!

ya i asked the dealer and i think i found a post on here about it long time ago. The funny thing is i had open my cluster before and didnt play with it.

but if you look at the pics posted the 04-07 have then same cluster but 08 up and cr are not the same and have the added green light. if you look at the cr pic closely you can see the green light is next to the MPH and the sensors op talking about is under were it said MPH.

I don't think it has anything to do with OEM Alarm i look at the installation instruction and it doesn't say anything about it.

Perhaps it's a rear foglight indicator for UK market cars?

What's odd is that some of them don't have it. Here is (what looks like) an AP2 cluster that does not even have it.

I was looking for photos but couldn't find one. Thanks for clarifying!
