depends on how many preamp inputs on your head unit. im a complete noob, will be adding tweeters to my apillars later this week, trying to find a good guide on how to cut holes allowing them to be angled at the best direction. good luck with it rug.

Flush the tweeters in the door panel. The 2000's have the same open area behind the door panel that the news years do with the factory tweeter pods. Try not to get a HUGE tweeter or you might run into clearance problems between the door skin and the door panel.

as for cutting the panels or pillars i dont want to ruin my OEM virgin interior. id rather pick up a 2nd set of panels or pillars.
what size tweets are the stock ones

The only other thing that will suck if you mount the tweets on the pillar is wiring. If you go with a component set of speakers then you'll have to put your crossovers inside the car and most likely in the kick plates. Don't know if you have ever been under that dash but it sucks. Just food for thought.

i tried removing the dash yesterday for another project, gave up after a few hours. had the steering column out, the wiring is just too difficult without the service manual. idk wtf ill do, type rs should be comming in later this week so ill be test fitting the crossovers where i can.

I have good tweeters mounted in the factory ('02) position on the doors and don't have any complaints about imaging. Yeah, it's slightly lower (vertically) than I would like but if set up properly it sounds fantastic.
