Default weird modfry response

I have my modfry dci set up through my new alpine cd player using the wired interface. In the morning when the car it cold it dosn't work..then after 2-3 minutes it sorta works ( have to push the puttons twice someftimes) and after ten minutes or so it works fine......it there a losse connection? Is it really related to how long the car is on?

weird....

mine for some reason goes up and down one click on volume every so often. I have an alpine 9857 and my dci is also wired.

sounds like you have the speed sensitive volume control enabled. there is a dip switch on the dci to select this option.. as for the OP, I would lean more toward the DCI on this one... when my DCI first arrived it was defective--when connected, the dci circuit board would heat up so it was too hot to touch. Modifry replaced it without a problem.
