well, since there's a built in immobilizer, unless they have a flat bed, they can't take the car. So if you just want to get something to protect from petty thieves, get something LOUD... I like clifford alarms because they are very solid alarms, costly, but worth it if you ask me. LoJAck I am not sure about... I mean if someone takes my car, I'd much rather not find it because frankly I don't want it anymore, who know what they've done.

I bought Lojack for the chance of getting my car back and maybe even catching the punks that stole the car. Sure damage may have been done, but maybe if you call it in early enough the damage can be kept to a minumum. A chance is better than no chance.

I put in Lojack (well the dealer did on my request). I asked the local police what they recommended and they said that in the Philadelphia, PA area most car thiefs are well aware of lojack and now steal the car and park it for 48 hours and only then (if it's still there which would most likely mean that it doesn't have lojack) take it and strip it.

I did a search on LoJack, and came up with some car sites that got excellent group buy discounts (as low as $395) direct from the manufacturer.
