What is an amazing Aftermarket Head Unit for the s2000
i just purchased my favorite car, the s2000.
it is practically flawless but the aftermarket radio it already has
is a bit outdated...it is connected to a great audio system with amps and a sub
but I just want to upgrade for a better head unit with direct iPod connection..

i want to pass the ipod cable underneath the carpet or through the center console into the glove box so i can stash my ipod in the glove box while it was playing....

however idk how to go about it?
do you guys know?
what's a good stereo for an s2k...

alpine cda117 or the x305s.... 117 can play CDs along with direct ipod connect. x305s is pure ipod/iphone. can stream pandora if you have an iphone but cannot play cds. both work great with a modifry dci.

I have the Sony DSX-BT300X - it was just released a couple weeks ago.

Pairs with your phone for Bluetooth calling and audio streaming (say, Pandora for example)

Has a Tunetray that holds your iPod/iPhone/thumbdrive INSIDE the headunit...perfect for the S' limited storage space.

Clean, powerful output.

Intuitive controls. Knob is a little weird at times though.

All in all though, I HIGHLY recommend this HU .

Modifry has a plug-and-play harness for Alpine head units that makes installing the head unit and DCI a snap.

Now what about Ipod functionality...on all these head units where do I control the tracks from...does the DCI allow me to change tracks with my audio knob...what about access different playlists...???

what i want to do is have a nice pristine setup where I can play my ipod while having the radio door on the s2k closed.

so i need a setup that either controls the ipod from the DCI or from the ipod itself....

what do you guys recommend...

FYI i currently have a SONY Xplod stereo but it is way outdated...the previous owner had it setup at an audio shop and my DCI controls work so I assume that the shop purchased the harness to make it work??? so whats my best route as far ass hooking up my ipod and keeping my DCI controls...thank you

i currently

That is pretty cool - I have all Alpine now but I might need to look into that Sony.
