I too was trying to get better light in my car at night. The stock bulbs just don't cut it so I started looking around for an led replacement. I stumbled on a build thread and I was pointed to this company called V-Leds by member Rick (s4play) in California. I saw his build thread on his s2000 and his subsequent NSX build. He went ahead and replaced all of his lights in the NSX with these v-leds lights.

And in his s2000 (I have these in mine, and it really lights up the interior!)

Thanks a lot for the links, i appreciate it. What i am really looking for though, is trying to figure out what types of LED lights work best in which areas. For instance, i noticed that for the dome area, they replaced the dome light with a panel light, but there are other options as well. I am also trying to understand if certain LEDs will be better than others in terms of electric consumption, that would cause any types of problems - "bulb out" indicators, abnormal dimming or flickering of lights, and so on.

Are these things something to be worried about, or will any of the LEDs compatible with the factory bulbs be alright?

Yet another option. These would be 2x as bright as there are double the led panels

Updated - Cleaned up the main post, etc.

Prancer: Your selection is probably the worst for that application (I hope you haven't bought it yet!) Generally you want a bulb to do the exact same thing the incandescent would have done in that spot. For the license plate light, it is sitting in a domed reflector, horizontally. So, you'd want a "360 type" like the WLED-xHP13-T, with LED's all around. For something with a very direct spot, like when you'd want to emulate the Acura's blue "console light" from above, a very directional LED would be appropriate. In almost all cases, you'll want an LED assembly (bulb) to have the widest angle possible, since our cars were designed with reflectors to "aim" incandescents.

hey so i took your advice and got the WLED-xHP13-T from superbrightleds.com and i found that it is too long for the housing to cover it now. would u think its a bad idea to leave it exposed like that or should i buy the shorter one with less lights?
