Yep, I'm still working on finding some midrange drivers to install in it. I found some possible ones from one of those iPod dock audio systems that I am going to try whenever I have some spare time..

I heard them for myself last thursday and they sounded pretty good (being pushed off the stock HU at that!) The music didn't have a lot of tone variance though so not sure how well it would have done with other types of music...

I believe they are 3.5" speakers. Similiar to the OLD miata headrest speakers (the ones that were sewn into the seats). I would take a good 5.25" set in a set of S-pods anyday. I look for more mid-range response out of my rear channel.

One possibility......coupled with a set of S-pods, you could get Dolby 5.1 surround sound (with the main center channel being the rear centers).

They are .75-1" actually.

I like PROPERLY TUNED s-pods, but hate most of the s-pod setups I've heard.

Then again, I rarely run rear speakers in any of my cars and only will do so in this car for top down cruising.

Good point, it was parked... and it should be noted that when I said they sounded "pretty good", I'm saying for a stock speaker... They may be suitable for your average driver, but probably not most of the ppl on this section of the forum.
