I have a Valentine One that I have been extrememly pleased with. It uses a phone line for the power cable so it was very easy to run to the cigerette lighter. I know it is a little on the pricy side but it is very sensitive and I have picked up cops from over 3 miles away. I recommend it and if I had to do it over again I would still by a V-1.

I've been very pleased with my Valentine 1. Also, I know several people who have them as well and all are pleased. However, I recently read a radar detector comparison on Motortrend.com which picked the BEL Vector 995 (when combined with their Laser Pro 905 laser blocker) over the V1.

Another V1 customer here. Wouldnt trade it for the world. Take it from me (Ive had em all) Dont consider anything but the V1 and the 8500. Everything else is just paperweight.

I like my 8500 X50 blue. When I first got it in March 05 - it did not appear to have the same range as some of the other AZ club members V1's or 8500's. I sent it back to Escort and they put in a new antenna and recalibrated it. Made a hude difference.

This replaced a SOLO2 cordless - even before I sent it back, the 8500 was much better than the cordless (much better range)

I am thinking of moving my 8500 to my Pilot and getting a V1 for the S2000. I like the arrows on the V1.
