How much do you have to spend? This will help people give better recommendations. Do you want to keep the factory headunit or are you going to change it out?

4 major questions....

1) How much money you got?

2)Do you want to keep your dash controls?

3)Do you want trunk space?

4)Are you looking for a full upgrade, or basic speakers in the doors?

also -- some ideas on the type of music you listen to and what appeals to you in sound (loud, sound quality, bass, treble, etc.) will help us get specific...

For $600 I'd get an amp and upgrade the front speakers. You can get some really nice ones for that much.

Or- you can go with a midgrade setup from the internet, install it yourself, and end up with a good 4 channel amp($250), front speakers($100), a subwoofer($100), a box($50), and wiring($100).

ok...

next questions...

do you like your music to come from in front of you like a true stage, or do you prefer it to surround/envelop you?

is clarity a big concern or do you just want it louder?

Clarity isnt a big concern?!

Well, in that case.....go to www.thezeb.com

pick up 2 pairs of speakers you like for 70-100 bucks a pair.....

for instance or Infinity reference
get SPODS or Lucid panels...(spods pref)

Get the Hifonics Eagle from them....50x4 @4ohms...$149 bucks...and youre done.

then my suggestion would be (for $500-$600)

-buy some Infinity reference 6.5" components ~$150
-get a decent 4 channel amp of the 75 Wrms x 4 @ 4 ohms flavor (that can bridge to 200-300 Wrms x 2 @ 4 ohms) ~$200
-use the OEM HU and add rear speaker outputs ~$30 and the amp's line level converters (you'll have to either make or buy a rear channel adapter)
-get a 10" normal sub in a generic box (not pretty but cheap) ~$200.
-get some basic amp wiring... ~$15
-get Dave to walk you through your own install.

this will make a big difference in what you hear, should give you tons of volume, and a nice bass response too.
