Default What is this sound coming from my sub?

So, im either giving it too much power, the box is too small, the box has a malfunction, the tuning is not correct, etc....or the sub may be f*ked. What do you guys think the problem is?

what are the settings on the amp again? For the input and the bass boost, if there is one. It "sounds" almost like an air leak from the box... can you feel air escaping anywhere?

damn. there is a small hole in the box, but i didnt think it would cause the problem. it is where the wiring connecting the sub and amp go into the box....is there an easy fix to the hole? Like, fiberglass or resin or whatever...maybe squirt some caulk or something all around it???

just seems weird that the sound is due to a hole in the back part of the box, and the sound feels like it is coming from the front of the box, or the subwoofer itself.

air hole... hot glue the inside of the box where you put the speaker wire through. I suggest tho going to the store and getting some 3m strip caulk and puting it around the hole of the box where you put the sub to seal it better because of the way your firing it.

actually, I usually mount it the normal way, but simply for purposes of making the video, I invert mounted it. it normally sits inside the box.
If I get that strip caul and seal the box better, will I ever be able to remove the sub? Or will that pretty much glue that sucker in. Its already difficult to even get teh sub out. I have to basically drop the box on carpet from like 2 inches about 50 times to slowly dislodge the sub. Then onces its far enough out, I can get a flat head in there and lift it out. If I stip caulk it in there, Im worried it will never come out and eventually, I was going to attempt fiberglass work for a new box, and would sell this one if I could.
