Whats a decent, easy to install, not too expensive head unit?
I'm considering purchasing a theft recovered s2k that is missing the radio. Can anyone give me an idea of what I'd be looking at money wise (including install unless its decently easy) for a simply head unit. Or even a stock head unit would work too. I'm not much of an audiophile, so as long as it makes noise and plays a CD I'm happy. Thanks!
I just purchased a new Sony M630 for $179 on ebay and bought Modifrys dash control kit for another $60. Seems like an very good/inexpensive way to go, as I wanted to keep my dash controls and run three sets of RCA's
I have a JVC SH707 in my beater. I love that headunit. It has anything you could want and plays MP3s. Its also a lot less gimmicky than some other units. It can be had for $215. You could use a PAC SWIX for the dash controls, if thats an issue.
Thanks for all the help everyone. It looks like I won't be needing a new head unit as the car I was looking at has a previous salvage title. I won't be buying the car because of the title (which the seller didn't bother to mention despite the fact that I specifically asked the condition of the title).
