whats a good aftermarket alarm?
i install the Viper 5901, doorlocks, trunk pop, with DEI Dual-Zone Sensor 508D, and digital tilt sensor, NO REMOTE START for $550.
If remote start is wanted, labor and bypass module for the factory imobilizer is extra.
Same alarm installed at best buy will be over $800

i have done about 2 dozen s2000's
I have done 4 S2000 so far with Viper 5901 which is now replaced by Viper 5704. I also installed DEI 508D Dual Zone Motion Sensor and DEI 520T Backup Battery System for each S2000.
I paid whatever it cost on amazon.com and a few weekends time.
I seriously think it is very easy to install one of these alarms if you exclude the remote start. I can do a DIY guide on how to prepare the Viper harness, which makes things a lot more simple.
