Default Whats a Good Alarm System?

Tried doing a search but did not work to well. What do you guys recommend for car alarms? I'm looking to spend between $300-$400 on a car alarm. What do you guys prefer (brand, options) Thanks everyone

Any of the CompuSTARs are good and the higher end DEI, like the Viper or the Python.

I have one of these:

It's a Viper 3000 2 way. I opted for the add-on proximity sensor. It's in your price range and it works great, you can also have them wire it for remote trunk release very easily.

I have a compustar and I like it. I have the two-way Spread Spectrum model so I would have the longest range coverage of alert from my car to my key fob.

I would definatly look for a two-way pager system again if I were in the martket for a new alarm.

A proximity sensor is a nice upgrade too.

I have the Clifford Matrix 10.5 alarm with two-way LCD pager system. Also, a dual proximity motion sensor. It gives off a warning beep if someone is within 6" of the car. The alarm will sound if someone enters the passenger compartment area , or reaches in such as when the top is down. I am VERY HAPPY with it. Car Audio reviewed it in I think it was November 2005 and loved it. Although, come to think of it, when was it that Car Audio or Performance Auto & Sound didn't give a positive review on a product?
