Don't know the exact dimensions, but the floor isn't totally smooth under the passenger seat. I wanted to fit my amp under there, but no luck. It was about 8.5" x 14 inches. Ok, kinda big, but there is room, but with the exhaust indentation in the floor...
I was thinking at that time that half that size probably would have fit. I remember someone posting that they had a 25 watt amp under the seat.

First thing, you only need a two channel amp.
Second, it's not just space, you also need room for it to breathe.
This is a 35WRMS per channel amp.
If you want to install a sub later you're best off using a separate amp.

For a completely stealthy installation, I mounted my MTX 2120 (35Wx2) behind the bulhead behind the drivers seat. You can access this location by removing the spare tire cover and then removing the trunk liner to the left of that to expose the real "secret compartment". The amp fits in front of the fuel filler on the left side of the gas tank hump. I gently wedged the amp into place with some outdoor carpeting used as padding. Anything larger than this amp will not fit there.
Sieple mounted his amp in this same location, and here is a link to his picture of his installation. Scroll down to 25 February. http://www.xs4all.nl/~pwb/s2000/

I put an MTX amp under the driver's seat. It puts out about 75 watts rms into 4 channels (I bridged the rear two channels to the subwoofer in the trunk). I chose MTX because it was the thinnest amp I could find with the power I wanted. I think it measures about 13 1/2 X 11 X 1 1/2. The seat does not move all the way forward but 2/3s of the way which allows plenty of room.

Nah, it's got 50 litres of petrol next to it as a heat sink .
I get real worried about this installation. Fine for now, but in a few years, when seals begin to deteriorate......
