Default Where to mount BT microphone

I am installing an alpine head unit with bluetooth. Where have people mounted your microphones? Anybody find a good spot?

I ran mine under the steering wheel and up the a-pillar. Used the clip and just clipped it next to the soft top latch. Works fine.

I double stick taped mine right above my right knee just right of key slot on the flatish piece that goes under dash
Works great.

I ran mine down the center console and it comes out right where the leather elbow pad starts. Everyone says they hear me clearly.

The A-Pillar didn't work out so well due to wind noise.

Mine sits right over my right knee under the steering wheel.
No noise issues unless Im driving top down at highway speeds. I would think the A-pillar idea would be less ideal for someone who drives top down often

I ran the wire up the A pillar and drilled a hole in the plastic covering the convertible top latch. The hole is large enough to fit a rubber grommet that in turn holds the microphone in place. Nothing to clip, nothing to look out of place. Works great!

Would you post a photo? This sounds like a great idea and I would really like to see it.

Does it work well even with the top down, or is that a problem regardless of where the mic is mounted?
