From what I have read in the AP2 you have to remove the center console. But just add 10 more minutes.
It actually takes far less than 10 minutes but that's probably a good number for budgeting purposes -- especially if it's your first time.

Will the PAC or Ice>link charge the ipod when it is on?

I was reading on some older threads about needing to get a seperate charger, and some people said you need to get a ground loop isolator.

Is that still the case?

I'm looking at getting one for a MY04 deck.

Another cheaper option, for Aux-in would be this:

You'd use analog to headphone input, so no charging functionality, but sound quality is great.

Is there a cheaper alternative to add aux input? For these kits, it almost makes sense to buy a new head unit, aftermarket.

Nope. One reason why I recommend just getting a new head unit if you're looking to add aux or an iPhone/iPod interface.

Followed your link but believe I purchased the wrong item. Did your cable have a slim grey input or a thicker blue one?

I dont think he'll answer since this is from 2010, but i recently bought the same cable from ebay. I bough the one for CRV and accord and they are a bit bigger. mine is the grey input, i believe the blue one is the one that fits our s2000s.
