I'm curious to how that road trip turns out... I'm a sirius person myself, I like the music stations/playlists better but I will admit that I got better signal and less drops on XM (still not worth switching back hehe).

So to hear how it works out in the country where there aren't any repeaters will definately help me decide where to mount mine when I get around to it...

 

Good to know that you can recieve the signal through the secret compartment cover.

I have an Alpine XM unit which is currently in my SUV... might be a good time to wire up the Ai-NET, power and extra antenna so I can move it between vehicles... Itching to see how the 9857 displays the XM info.
