Will the DEH-840MP fit our stereo system with the door closed. This deck has a opening and closing interface that I wasn't sure if it would get jammed on the door.

Thank in advance.

I would also like to know... I am debating over Sony CDX-MP70, Pioneer P840MP & Kenwood's MP919.

Eww Sony sucks . I want the 940MP but that's about 550 dollars, wihle the 840 is about 350. I might get the 940 if i can get myself a great deal on it.

for whatever it's worth, Changing out the factory radio is a waste of money unless you have to have an XM radio. Todays radios are close in quality to the aftermarket ones. Your money is better spent on speakers, and amps (IMHO).

at medium to high volumes with good speakers and amps, the factory radio distorts in terms of bass. at least get better speakers, if the aftermarket radio is powerful enough, use it to power the speakers.

that would also depend on the input settngs of the amp your using, and the way the signal is supplied to the amp.
