Will Infinity Kappa 62.9i fit MY00 Door?
Crutchfield doesn't seem to think so, but has anyone tried?
Can anyone recommend any other coaxial speakers (i dont want to cut anything to fit components) that would be a good match for 22watts rms supplied by a Kenwood deck? I'm not an audiophile, just want to swap out the stock paper cones, so please keep the recommendations in the $150 range Also Keep in mind I may amp later but still want decent sound until I do.
Thanks for any help! I have a Kenwood HD942 and the Modifry DCI on the way, already have the Bluetooth and IPhone adapter from a previous install. I'm stoked

I got my Kenwood headunit installed, the HD942u, and DCI all wired up. The stock 00 speakers sound a bit better but they still suck with the top down at speed. I'm going to have a local shop install the Kappa's tomorrow and hopefully they'll install without issue. I did find out Infinity offers a shallow mount option, the 62.9is, but nobody stocks them around town.
Anyway, I'm really enjoying the speed controlled volume of the DCI, big thumbs up!
And these Kappas look really nice for a coaxial, nice thick magnet, large tweeter, outboard crossover, and top notch materials. I just hope they sound as good as they look

I'm not sure on the comparison, but I have Infinity Kappa 60.9cs speakers and a Kenwood KDC-MP638U HU. Everything fits nicely with no cutting and the radio door shuts with no issues.

Speakers went in without issue, only had to cut the baskets. They sound excellent with top up or top down just cruising but probably still going to need an amp for top down at highway speed. The tweets sound great even positioned down in the door, I do have them angled towards the driver though.
