Default WIRING HELP...

Ok guys...I have been following the instructions on here by darknight and it seems when i plugged everything in...i dont hear my sub....now I have the power hooked up properly and ground but it seems like there is no power to the amp...what could i be doing wrong....let me know guys..any help is appreciated...

Check the remote wire.....the wire coming from the radios remote lead to the REM on the amp. Also, if you have a volt meter, check that you have 12V at all points.

ok...where is the remote wire suppose to connect to on the amp...i have remote lead wire....but i didnt connect...im a newbie at this...so sorry if i may sound a little imcompetent about this audio stuff...

Yes you need to connect the remote wire to the wiring harness to your deck. It's probably blue.

There are three wires only three wires needed to get the amp to turn on. 1) The power wire (battery), 2) the ground, and lastly 3) the remote turn on lead. On the amp they are usually lined up together with the remote connection in the middle. That is the wire that connects between the HU and the amp. It tells the amp to turn on and off with the HU on/off. The remote wire is usually between a 14-16 awg. I hope this helps.

BTW, the RCA cables are the one that send the audio to the amp to be amplified.

where on the amp is the remote lead wire to be plugged in...??

ok...so ur saying if i dont have the remote lead wire plugged into the headunit the amp wont work?.....right now i dont have the remote wire hooked up but once i do that..the amp should work then?
